For some businesses, we carry out additional checks before or during the relationship. If that applies to you, we'll reach out and request a subset of the documents below. This is a standard compliance step — it doesn't mean anything is wrong.
Source of funds
We may ask you to evidence where your funds come from. Depending on your country and business, acceptable documents include:
- Financial statements
- A CPA-certified declaration letter
- Written confirmation from a qualified accountant or lawyer
- Records of shareholder capital contributions
- Documents for the underlying transactions or activity that generates your funds
Other information we may request
- Details of your compliance / AML program
- Clarifications on documents you've already submitted
How we verify
We may confirm details through publicly available information, a phone call, or — in some cases — an on-site visit. We'll always tell you what we need and why.
Responding promptly keeps your account active. If we don't hear back within the requested window, we may need to pause or close the relationship.
